Full Itinerary

Day 1 Cusco - Chirihuana - Vinicunca

We embark on an unforgettable adventure to the famous 7 Colors Mountain, also known as Vinicunca. Our day starts early, at 4:30 am. We meet our group and board the bus that will take us south of Cusco. For one hour and 40 minutes, we will travel through Andean landscapes until we reach the village of Chirihuani, in the district of Cusipata, located at 3,100 masl (10,171 ft).

In Chirihuani, we will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast to recharge our batteries before our hike. Once we have finished eating, we will return to the bus to continue to the starting point of our hike, at an altitude of 4,326 masl (14,189 ft).

Upon arrival, our guide will give us detailed instructions about the hike and the precautions to take. The hike to the top of the 7 Colors Mountain takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on our physical condition. As we hike uphill, the views of the Andes Mountains become more impressive, with landscapes that look like something out of a fairy tale.

Once at the summit, at 5,200 masl (17,060 ft), the visual spectacle is simply incredible. We will be able to see the majestic Ausangate, as well as the brilliant geological formations of the Colored Mountain. Here we will have time to explore, take pictures and enjoy the scenery.

If we still have energy, there is an optional activity to visit the Red Valley, located just in front of Vinicunca. This impressive valley is known for its reddish hues and surreal landscapes. At the conclusion of our visit, we will return to the bus to return to Chirihuani, where a well-deserved buffet lunch awaits us.

After a relaxed lunch, we will resume our trip back to Cusco. We will arrive in the city around 5:00 pm, putting an end to our incredible full day tour to the 7 Colors Mountain. It has been a day full of adventure, natural beauty and unforgettable moments that we will carry with us forever.
