It is recommended to spend at least one day in Cusco before the tour to adapt to the altitude. Machu Picchu is at a lower elevation than Cusco, making it generally more comfortable.

Can I hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain?

Yes, but it requires an additional ticket and must be booked well in advance due to limited availability.
